It seems to me that New Balance is collaborating with someone every other week. I think New Balance is a great company, but the volume of collaborations really dilutes the appeal of the brand. The only redeeming value is that the collaborations are usually in really limited runs.
However, there have been so many collaborators that there really isn’t a distinguishing factor between what is “limited” and what is a general release. A dope limited colorway is indistinguishable from a Japan release.
This recent collaboration with realmadhectic is way nice. I believe they have done some stuff together before, but this recent collaboration is particularly noteworthy.
The heel cap of the 580 BLG really brings the entire shoe together. Reminds me of the Bike Air Burst storm speckle print. The subtle colors and the rock print on the heel gives it a flair (Think OfficeSpace Chotskies Buttons).
